NERDS - Lindsey and Matt, artists on a grand cross country adventure. Definition: 1. intelligent but single-minded people obsessed with a nonsocial hobby or pursuit: ie. road trips.
Unemployed Artists. That's one way to describe us. College Graduates is another. Lost is a third. In the Spring of 2009, we became a part of the unemployed masses and since then we have been struggling to find our way and find a living. In addition to job searching, we started fallenpeach: a venue for selling our art and offering our graphic design and custom artwork services. This is something that we are still growing and has not yet allowed us to live our lives as we would like. A year into unemployment we've decided to try something else as well.
This blog is for chronicling our adventures - hikes, small road trips, big road trips - whatever types of adventures we end up having. We also plan on putting letterboxes out in the woods of Connecticut, and we will link to the directions on this blog.
Ultimately, though, we would like to take a month to drive cross country (and back). The last time we did this we only had two weeks and there are a lot of things we'd like to do differently. This time we would like to document and photograph the trip more completely and turn it into a book.
